Dear headmasters,teachers,classmates and friends:
I’m very proud that I have chosen to speak to you all today, I’m a bit
nervous as I’ve never made a speech before to so many people ,so please forgive me if it shows.
As we all know, the environmemt around us is getting worse and worse some places we can’t see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. Some people even have no clean water to drink. So I think we must do something to protect the environment. what can we do How to protect our environmemt For example, we can go to school on foot or by bike . we can use shopping basskets not plastic bags we go shopping and we can use both sides of the paper when we write a word ,if everyone pays more attention to our environment ,there willbe less pollution and our life will be better.
“There is only one earth”,I hope everyone will protect our environment well. Thanks!
What makes me angry? Mostly, I hate when someone tries to make someone else feel bad.
I have to admit that once, when I was really angry, I actually called names.
I regretted doing this afterwards, but not full heartedly because I think I was provoked in that situation.
The most positive way of dealing with anger is talking about the problem.
I talk to someone who listens, or Ill write my thoughts down on paper.
Learning how to deal with anger as youre growing up is so important.
When youre younger, you might yell, or cry when youre angry, but as you get older, youre expected to handle your emotions much better.
1.You can listen to music when you in a bed mood.
2.You should often talk with your parents or teachers, because they have rich experience.
3.It is necessary to learn to work together
4.Help your classmates or friends when they are in troubl。
5.Keep happy and learn to smile at your classmates when you meet.
Learning to control your emotion now will prevent you from doing something that youll regret later on in life!
Last Monday,we had a school meeting and our headmaster spoke highly of a kind boy, whose name is LiHua.The boy is a Junior high school student.we all respect him very much because of his kindness.
One day, LiHua went to school by bus as usual. when he was ready to get on the bus,he saw a thief stealing a woman's wallet, and there is a knife in his hand.
LiHua was afraid that the thief would hurt other people on the bus. Suddenly, a good idea came to his mind. He walked to the woman and said" Mum,I want to use your mobilphone''.
Soon, the woman realized what happened and replied,"ok, I will give it to you". The driver noticed the thief. He drived the bus to the police station. At last, the thief was under control. Later, the woman sent a letter to our school to express her thanks to Li Hua.
Though I am a senior high school student, I cant do as well as LiHua. His kindness touched me,including all of you.
As we all know, a kind heart is important for everyone. Kindness can make the world more beautiful and more lovable. In other words, if the world is a cup, kindness is like cofee, which makes the world meaningful.
My dream I enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation. But life in the university is not as satisfactory as what I had expected. I become lazy and dont want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I dont know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy. Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I dont want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five years. Its very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I cant reach its demand and its very diffcult, but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will, there is a way."I think my dream can come in the university I mature, and in the university I prepare for the real world. At last,I want to say to
everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed. But hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."
i believe in our future honorable judges, fellow students: recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country? the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money. the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer. as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future. thank you!
man’s life is a proceof growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.
when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. following i will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.
once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” i will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these procei will combine learning with doing. if i can achieve this “future”, i think that i really grow up. and i deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.
how to say future? maybe it’s a nice wish. lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.
me and my fears
honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:
it is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the english language.
about a year and a half ago, i took part in my very first english speech contest. when i stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, i could hardly speak. i stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. my fears had paralyzed me.
while my passion for english has never changed, i lost my courage to speak in public. when my professor again encouraged me to take part in this competition, i said “no.” i couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. he looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. i will never forget his words. “look,” he said, “we all have our fears, and you have yours. you could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. a winner is not one who never fails, but one who never quits.”
i spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. then i made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: i would face my fears – and take part in the competition!
as it turned out, my dear old professor was right. now, here i am, once again standing before a microphone. my heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, i have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!
thank you.
I was so excited when i entered the college. For so many years, I workedhard to achieve this dream and finally i made it. Everything seemed fresh andcurious to me. I was so pleased that I would enjoy my college life soon.
when i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had sparetime to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doingexercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines andnovels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldn't play with my friends a lot, which I couldn't stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should beconsidered for the College Entrance Examination.
However, my college life is totally different from the life in highschool.I can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in thelibrary, where I can open my eyes and broaden my mind.In my free time, I alsojoin some clubs, where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. Myteachers in college are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach usknowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. Inaddition, there are more opportunities for me to improve myself.
I believe college life is an important stage in my life. In college, i canlearn how to learn by myself, how to get on with others, how to provides me with a stage where i can show myself and bemyself.
Women who ate soy regularly as children have a lower risk of breast cancer, American researchers report. And men who eat fish several times a week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchers have told the American Association for Cancer Research.
The studies add to a growing body of evidence about the role of diet in cancer. Cancer experts now believe that up to two-thirds of all cancers come from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and lack of exercise.
The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the University of Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofu and miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancer by 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, though compounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects.
A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a week had a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared with men who ate fish less than once a week.
Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interfere with the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.
Dear,
“Depend on yourself” is what nature says to every man. Parents can help you. Teachers can help you. others still can help you. But all these only help you to help yourself
There have been many men in history. But many of them were very poor in childhood, and no uncles, aunts or friends to help them. Schools were few. They could not depend duanwenw upon them for an education. They saw how it was and set to work with all their strength to know something. They worked their own way till they became well-known.
One of the most famous teachers in England used to tell his pupils, ”I can not make worthy men of you, but I can duanwenw help make men of yourself.”
Some young men dont try their best to make themselves valuable to human beings. They can never gain achievement unless they see their weak points and change their course. They are nothing now, and will be nothing as long as they live, unless they accept the advice of their parents and teachers, and depend on their own efforts.
During the summer vacation, I read a book called little prince. I want todeeply thank the author of this book, because he let me learn a lot in thechange of the prince's life.
When he was a child, he loved life and loved hisbeautiful rose; he loved fantasy and had a pure and good heart; he could seethings and see the nature behind things... These qualities of the little princemake me like this extraordinary little child fairy.
Growth is an inevitableprocess for a person to experience. On the way of growth, the little princeslowly learned to be silent and endure pain. The Little Prince changed his mindand learned to deceive himself and deceive others.
Gradually, he lost thechildlike innocence of his childhood, the once incomparable innocence and goodheart, and became a mediocre, hypocritical adult who lost faith in life. Is thisthe so-called growth? Of course not! No matter how old we are and how much lifestrikes us, we all have to keep a good and pure mind at all times.
We mustlearn to experience life and enjoy the beauty of life. In this way, we can growhealthily. Let's keep a childlike innocence, let our life and the world be fullof sunshine.
“low-carbon” is one of the most popular buzz-words in this year. Not only China but all countries focus on the topic of “low-carbon”.
Here, I’d like to share my own experience abroad with you. Several years ago, I was very lucky to have an opportunity to live in the Australia about half a month. During that time, Not only did I enjoy the beautiful natural scenery there, but also I appreciated the people’s active way of protecting their environment. Now, whenever the environment protection is mentioned, the beautiful scenery of Australia will arise in my mind, white clouds flying across the blue sky, green grassplot sprinkled with colorful flowers and lovely squirrels playing happily among the trees.
As a citizen of China, if everyone can actively protect the environment in our daily life and if we would like to reduce our carbon footprint, the scenery of blue sky, green grass and lovely animals in Australia will appear in China, even in HeFei.
But I totally support the view, that is to say, Emotion without action is irrelevant! Do you unplug electronics after you use them? Do you switch off everything before you go to sleep? Do you adjust your TV screen a bit dimmer to save energy? Do you re-use water for different activities around the house? Each of these seemingly insignificant adjustments in your daily life can make a difference in saving the environment of tomorrow.
We all know that nothing is more comfortable than sitting in the warmth of a hearted car while it’s snowing and hailing outside in the freezing cold…But with global warming and even global cooling becoming more pressing by the day, not to mention your own health, take a walk ,ride a bike ,reduce your carbon footprint on the environment .It is said that tiny streams can be combined into a vast ocean, small trees can be an immense forest, and every little makes a mickle.
“low-carbon” is not just a buzz-word but a goal that people from all over the world wanna get. So, reduce carbon footprint! Reduce damage! Save energy! Save the world!

Good afternoon. Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today I will say something about my family love.
I remember when I was younger. My family lived a simple life. We weren’twealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we were content with what wehad.
Our first vehicle was an old broken-down bicycle. It provided us withtransportation on many enjoyable weekends and holidays. Mom sat on the backwhile Dad pedaled. I, a mere toddler at the time, rode on the bar in front ofhim. It didn’t matter where we were going as long as we were going theretogether.
